Mount Salem, bitch-ass — that’s who.
Hailing from Chicago, Illinois (as opposed to Chicago, India), the four-piece psychedelic rock doomsters will release its sold-out EP through Metal Blade this coming spring.
Sample the band at the very end of this post.
The band boasts my new crush, the radiant Emily Kopplin, who handles vocals and organ.
She could handle my organ any day.
And by organ, I mean pituitary gland.
Drummer Cody Davidson and bassist Mark Hewett round out the band, with Kyle Morrison playing guitars.
The re-released EP — Endless — will include two new songs, a presser says.
“As soon as Will Palmer from our UK office brought Mount Salem to our attention I knew we had to have the band as a part of our family,” says Metal Blade A&R rep Kelli Malella, who should call me one of these days for crying out loud.
“Their sound is haunting, melodic yet heavy, and makes the listener nod their head as they take in all the grooves the band lays out in their vintage style of rock and doom metal. I’m really looking forward to getting the full-length version of Endless out to the masses as the new tracks I heard were catchy as hell and flow perfectly with the rest of the album.”
